Collage With Your Own Beach-Combing Treasures

Looking for a way to display your collection of beach-combing treasures? Make a collage! This is an easy, kid-friendly activity that’s fun and educational.
For this collage, I used a glue gun to attach shells, beach glass, driftwood and other treasures onto a wooden shingle I found in my basement. If you’re working with a flat surface, like a piece of cardboard or a simple picture frame, Elmer’s glue would do the trick. Turn it into a science lesson and use A Field Guide to the Atlantic Seashore: From the Bay of Fundy to Cape Hatteras (Peterson Field Guide) or Audubon’s Beachcombers Guide to the North Atlantic Seashore to help identify and name the shells and other items in your collage.
We would love to see your coastal collage! Share your photos and tag Group for the East End on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN!
