Native American Zoomorphic Pinch Pot Workshop (Cutchogue)

  • Downs Farm Preserve 23800 Main Road Cutchogue, NY, 11935 United States (map)

Environmental artist and educator Tony Valderrama will lead this workshop with Group for the East End at Downs Farm Preserve in Cutchogue.

This program is a perfect blend of culture, art, wildlife and music. Each participant will learn about basic ceramic techniques while creating a personalized clay pinch pot into the form of their favorite animals. Pinch pots were one of the most basic forms of Native ceramics decorated with symbols and designs to share stories. Participants will also learn about Native American culture through artwork and flute music.

Registration is required for this family-friendly event. The fee is $15 per person and includes all materials.
